I was at a party and my crown popped out when chewing on a carrot. While chewing, I noticed something had come off my tooth.  At first I thought it was part of my tooth.

Then, once I spit it out into my hand and noticed it was my crown that I had since I was in college.  I did not want to make a scene, just put it into a napkin and into my purse.   I was able to get a appointment in couple days.  Unfortunately my dentist told me that he would have to place a new crown in and my old crown had come out with part of my tooth.

Since then, I am careful to chew very carefully on that side and not to chew anything that might damage it.
